It is possible to visit the waterfall independently, but you may need to cross overflowing streams and navigate slippery paths.

The rainwater cascades down the hillocks in milky white sheets. The falls also have a tunnel that is said to have been dug by the Pandavas during their exile.

During the monsoon season, the waterfall attracts hundreds of visitors. However, it is recommended to visit the waterfall when there are fewer showers, & the weather is not too hot. This is because the waterfall can become dangerous during heavy rainfall.

Another reason why it is essential to visit the falls during monsoons because it is one of the few spots in the city that remain open during the late monsoon. During this period, the waterfall is available for a few days. The Forest Department has also restricted tourists from entering the fall for four months. The Forest department will decide on other tourist spots on Monday.
